Synopsis
Henry Fonda's life, roles, and final 1981 interview audio chronicle a journey through American history from 1651 to the presidency in the 1980s, personifying the complexity of the nation on the journey from Fonda to New York. The Pacific.. Probably the best film I saw at the 74th Berlinale, certainly the most interesting. It was made by, among others, former director of the Austrian Film Museum Alexander Horwath, and his expertise in film history is evident in every minute of this essay. President Henry Fonda is not limited to film history, however, but it connects the life of Henry Fonda and his films in a pleasant way with the history of the United States from the 16th century to the present. Horwath said in the interview that his first version was over 6 hours long, but he and his editor and cameraman Michael Palm condensed it really effectively, the film takes its time like any Fonda film, but never boring. three hours of running time.
